Between 15 and 19 June 2020, the city of Trieste and the Università degli Studi di Trieste will play host to the 27th International James Joyce Symposium. Trieste, the city that Joyce dubbed ‘la mia seconda patria’, was his home for over a decade.

Trieste is the regional capital of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The city has a population of 240,000 and is situated in northeastern Italy, just two hours from Venice and an hour and a half from the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana.
